A Facebook group for Thuisbord beta testers
Thuisbord is opening a Facebook group for beta testers. Read what a beta test is, what to expect in the group and how your household can take part.
Thuisbord is not available yet. Before the app launches in the Netherlands, we want to test it together with households. For that, there will be a Facebook group for beta testers. In this post you can read what that involves and how your household can take part.
What is a beta test?
A beta test is a trial period with a version of the app that is almost finished, but not quite. Testers use that version at home, in ordinary daily life. This brings up errors and unclear points that we overlook ourselves.
So don't expect everything to work straight away. Sometimes something is missing, sometimes something goes wrong. That is exactly what we want to hear about.
Why a Facebook group?
In a group, testers can ask questions, share experiences and help each other. A question about connecting Homey or Home Assistant has often already been answered by someone else. And we can see at a glance which topics come up more often.
In the group, topics include:
- how the screen is mounted or placed in your home;
- what is clear about the energy advice and what isn't;
- how you like the shared calendar, tasks and shopping list;
- errors you come across.
A note on privacy
Thuisbord itself uses no tracking, advertising or third-party analytics. A Facebook group falls outside that: Facebook is a platform owned by Meta, with its own terms and its own privacy policy. Whatever you post in the group is visible to the other members.
So don't share meter readings, addresses or photos of your family that you would rather keep private. Your meter data and family data in Thuisbord itself remain stored in the EU and visible only to your household.
Would you rather not use Facebook? Then you can also give feedback another way: info@mennovanhout.nl.
Who can take part?
For the beta test, we are looking for households in the Netherlands. A few things to know in advance:
- Signing up: sign-up goes through the waitlist on thuisbord.app.
How do you find the group?
The group is called Thuisbord and can be found via https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1BmQL84MT3/. If your household isn't on the waitlist yet, you can join it on thuisbord.app.
We read everything testers share. Even short comments help make Thuisbord fit better with how households really live.
