The screen
Troubleshooting
What the screen shows when no readings arrive, there is no internet or the prices are not in yet, and what to do.
The screen never just goes blank. When something goes wrong, it shows the last data it had, with a clear notice. Below you read what it means and what you can do.
No readings are arriving
What you see: the energy cards show the last known values, marked as stale, with the time of the last reading, such as Last reading 14:32. After five minutes a short explanation appears, for example:
- Homey has not sent readings for a while. Homey may be offline, or the Flow may be off.
- Home Assistant has not sent readings for a while. It may be offline.
What to do:
- Check that Homey or Home Assistant is on and connected to the internet.
- With Homey: check that the Flow that sends the meter readings to Thuisbord is still on.
- Did you recently make a new connection key? Then the old one no longer works. Paste the new one into the Thuisbord app on Homey, or into your Home Assistant connection. See Renewing the connection key.
- On your phone, check Settings › Meter connection to see whether the meter is connected and when the last reading arrived.
Does it say No meter connected yet? Then no meter has been connected. See Connecting the meter with Homey or Connecting the meter with Home Assistant.
No internet on the screen
What you see: every card shows what it last fetched. Live data, such as the power right now, is marked as stale.
What to do: check the screen's Wi-Fi. Ticking off keeps working: the screen remembers which tasks and shopping items were ticked off and sends that on as soon as the connection is back. Nothing is ticked off twice.
The prices are not in yet
What you see: Today's prices are not in yet, or Tomorrow's prices are not in yet, with around what time they arrive.
What to do: nothing. As soon as the market publishes the prices, they appear by themselves.
The screen shows a pairing code again
Then the screen is no longer paired with your household. Pair it again with the code; see Pairing a screen.
The advice does not change
That is right: the advice changes at most once every 15 minutes, so the screen stays calm. When nothing special is going on, it shows a plain status line, such as Nothing special: power costs a normal price right now.
